Tiling is a skilled and rewarding trade, ideal for people who enjoy practical work, have a good eye for detail and take pride in achieving a professional finish.

Our courses are designed to teach the essential skills needed for a future in tiling. You will receive practical, hands-on training from experienced professionals, learning how to prepare surfaces, work with different materials and complete wall and floor tiling to a high standard. Whether you are completely new to tiling or want to improve your existing skills, we will help you learn at a pace that suits you.

Our course options

Our 5-Day Intensive Wall & Floor Tiling Course is ideal for complete beginners, DIY enthusiasts or anyone looking to develop practical tiling skills for use at home or as a first step towards working in the trade.

The course is heavily hands-on and practical, giving you plenty of time to develop your technique and confidence.

During the course, you can develop skills including:

  • Preparing walls and floors ready for tiling
  • Measuring and setting out correctly
  • Using tiling tools safely and effectively
  • Cutting tiles accurately
  • Fixing wall and floor tiles
  • Working around corners, edges and obstacles
  • Applying adhesive correctly
  • Grouting and finishing
  • Achieving a clean, professional finish
  • Understanding basic health and safety

No previous tiling experience is required, making the course suitable for anyone looking to learn the fundamentals or improve their existing practical skills.

Tools and materials are provided, allowing you to focus on learning, practising and developing your skills throughout the five days.

Daniel is our Tiling tutor at Century Training Academy, helping learners develop practical wall and floor tiling skills through hands-on sessions. He focuses on building confidence, accuracy and good technique, from preparation and setting out through to cutting, fixing and finishing.

Daniel’s supportive approach helps learners take their time, improve their skills and produce work they can be proud of.
