5-Day Intensive Plastering Course
Our 5-Day Intensive Plastering Course is ideal for beginners looking to learn a new trade, DIY enthusiasts wanting to improve their skills, or those already working in construction who want to develop their plastering knowledge.
The course is heavily hands-on and practical, giving you plenty of time on the tools and the opportunity to develop skills such as:
- Preparing surfaces ready for plastering
- Understanding and using plastering tools correctly
- Mixing and applying plaster
- Developing skimming techniques
- Working on walls and different surfaces
- Achieving smooth, professional finishes
- Basic repairs and preparation
- Health and safety when working with plastering materials and equipment
No previous plastering experience is required, making the course suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to refresh or improve their existing skills.
All tools and materials are provided, so you can concentrate on learning and developing your technique throughout the five days.

Nationally Recognised Qualifications
Our team tailors learning to the individual making sure that you build confidence and have the best chance of success. Courses are taken at your own pace and abilities, it doesn’t matter if it takes you 6 months or two years, we are here to support you.
All our courses can lead to nationally recognised qualifications, we are fully accredited with awarding bodies including National Open College Network and Gateway Qualification.
We offer a few levels of qualification based on your abilities and we only put you through the qualification when we think you are ready and will pass.
- In House Certificate for Intensive & Staff Upskilling
Our intensive courses and staff upskilling training are completed with an in-house Certificate of Competence, confirming you have completed the course to high standards at Century Training Academy.
- Award, Certificate and Diploma Qualifications
These qualifications come with our multi-trade course, which includes plastering along with the other trades taught on the course. Learners can work from Entry Level 3 Awards through to Level 1 Diplomas, building practical skills and confidence at a level that suits them.

The academy features a specialist plastering area with all the equipment and tools provided for you to master the course.

Meet the tutors
Callum Black
Callum is our Plastering tutor at Century Training Academy and brings years of hands-on construction experience to his sessions. Having worked in the industry for most of his life, including running his own plastering company for several years, he has a strong practical understanding of the trade.
Callum enjoys passing that experience on to learners, helping them develop good technique, build confidence on the tools and take pride in the standard of their work.
