Century Training Academy’s private intensive plumbing course provides focused, hands-on training within a supportive environment. Led by experienced professionals, the course will introduce you to a range of common domestic plumbing tasks and help you develop the practical skills needed to complete them safely and confidently.

What will you learn?

This programme introduces learners to a range of essential domestic plumbing skills while supporting progression from Entry Level 3 Awards through to Level 1 Awards, Certificates and Diplomas including;

• How to remove and replace taps
• How to change tap washers
• How to fit a bath
• How to fit a shower
• How to install water inlets for washing machines and dishwashers
• How to fit kitchen and bathroom sinks
• How to measure, cut and connect pipework
• How to install pipework leading to a boiler
• The correct use of plumbing tools and equipment
• Essential health and safety procedures
• How to identify and resolve common plumbing problems

The course covers the installation of pipework leading to a boiler but does not include fitting, servicing or working internally on boilers.

Nationally recognised qualifications

Learners can work towards recognised NOCN qualifications from Entry Level 3 Awards up to Level 1 Diplomas, depending on their ability, progress and chosen programme. These qualifications provide formal recognition of the practical skills, knowledge and confidence developed during training.

As this is a private intensive course, the training can be focused around your individual ability and learning needs. Our experienced team will provide practical guidance throughout, helping you build confidence and complete each task to a high standard.

1. Award
   An Award is usually the smallest qualification route. It allows learners to focus on specific skills or units within their chosen trade area. This can be a good starting point for learners who are new to the subject, building confidence or working towards further progression
2. Certificate 
   A Certificate is a more detailed qualification than an Award. It allows learners to develop a wider range of practical skills and knowledge within their chosen trade area. This route may be suitable for learners who are ready to complete a more structured programme and show progress across several areas of learning.
3. Diploma
   A Diploma is the largest qualification route. It gives learners the opportunity to build a broader understanding of their chosen trade area and develop a wider range of practical skills. This route may be suitable for learners who are ready for a more in-depth programme and are working towards further training, employment pathways or progression into a specialist area.
